Spreading smiles, one small act at a time

A beautiful #DoItForDiana story shared by Tim Hadley:

This last week I was doubly blessed by #doitfordiana. I know today is a very special day for them so I will leave my comments brief. I was waiting until I connected personally with April before posting anything. Turns out, getting ahold of an international blogger is very, very difficult.

I can count on my hands the number of times I have truly wept. Receiving a hand written note from Diana’s loving husband, Jerry, was one of them. Having known this incredible family most of my life, I knew the place that it was written from was genuine and sincere. I won’t share with you what was inscribed inside, because… well that’s for me. 🙂

I will tell you I did not follow directions… I was instructed to use the gift to take my family out. Whereas, I did take my family out, I passed the gift on to someone who could use it more than I could. I know that is what Diana and her family would have wanted and intended. To pay it forward.

As if that weren’t enough, while at the basketball game at Pekin on Tuesday, I was informed that my popcorn that I was trying to purchase had already been paid for by… none other than #doitfordiana. Of course, Jerry had instructed Betty that anyone who came through with popcorn that night should be given a card and told it was paid for. I’m not sure what the number of blessings were that night, but I can tell you that there were a lot of smiles walking out of that cafeteria.

Again, what Diana would have wanted.

Well played, Jerry. Well played.
